Managing Director

Chad Farrell

Chad Farrell is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Tiger’s Commercial & Industrial division, as well as guiding its strategic direction and growth, developing new market initiatives, and securing complex engagements.

Chad Farrell is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Tiger’s Commercial & Industrial division, as well as guiding its strategic direction and growth, developing new market initiatives, and securing complex engagements.

Farrell brings to Tiger deep experience in the disposition, valuation and auction of machinery, equipment, inventory, and real property. He has executed thousands of auction,, sealed-bid and private treaty transactions in more than 20 countries, selling more than $750 million of surplus and distressed assets in the energy, transportation, construction, manufacturing, mining, metals and retail sectors. He also offers Tiger’s C&I clients with significant experience in the creation of marketing and e-commerce solutions within the context of commercial and industrial asset management.

Prior to joining Tiger, Farrell was Vice President, Strategic Business Development Liquidity Services (Nasdaq: LQDT), a global provider of consultative asset management, valuation and sales solutions. Farrell joined Liquidity Services in 2013 when the company he founded, Tru-Markets– a venture delivering eCommerce solutions for Fortune 1000 Energy and Insurance companies–merged with Liquidity Services.

Prior to founding Tru-Markets, Farrell’s professional experience included decades of industry positions, including his role as Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, at online auction marketplace Asset Nation Inc.

A resident of Houston, Farrell earned an M.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Nick Abueita

Nick Abueita serves as the Senior Director of Energy for Tiger’s Commercial & Industrial practice, where he spearheads initiatives that optimize monetization of oil-and-gas and other industrial energy assets sold in the US and international markets.

Nick Abueita serves as the Senior Director of Energy for Tiger’s Commercial & Industrial practice, where he spearheads initiatives that optimize monetization of oil-and-gas and other industrial energy assets sold in the US and international markets.

The Houston native boasts nearly 20 years of experience in investment recovery, surplus asset disposition and e-commerce, having built or managed online B2B platforms for companies such as Ritchie Bros., Copart and Liquidity Services. His most recent position was as Vice President of Sales (Circularity Business) for startup Requis, where he managed more than $175 million in global transactions and established business, contracts, and partnerships in more than 22 countries.

In his time at Liquidity Services, Abueita transacted more than $80 million in sales globally and managed a portfolio of more than 15 Fortune 500 oil-and-gas companies. His prior positions at Copart and Ritchie Bros. entailed responsibilities such as supervising employees, growing sales, driving efficiencies, and managing budgets and client accounts.

Abueita’s track record includes more than a dozen years of experience in building an international network of Fortune 500 companies in the oil-and-gas and energy sectors. He has led, managed and executed energy surplus auctions, sealed-bid and private-treaty transactions valued at more than $300 million across 20 countries and has executed thousands of online surplus sales in sectors such as energy, salvage, construction, and transportation.

Abueita earned his degree in Business Management from Texas State University.
